Excellent Sabbath School & Church services. Great SDA school. My daughter went medical school here.

I guess I am just too old to enjoy watching professed SDA pastors, staff, etc., wearing wedding rings the size of large dinner ringers in 4* golf courses. Many of the women could be selling cosmetics/jewelry at a Macy's store. Some of their dresses are so short it detracts from the 'gospel' being presented to the congregation. Costly suits, ties, clips, jewelry and fashion dresses seem to be status quo.
I can appreciate and understanding the ritualized nature of performing a 'show' for a World audience. Maybe, just maybe, a very small amount of makeup but I wonder if this was a concern of Mrs. White? To trivialize it regarding size of congregation or mass is a deflection not worthy of mentioning. What was, and is important the message! Would she recognize the Church community? I don't know; the reader of this blog must make that decision.
A week doesn't go by that I don't try to watch different sermons from different SDA churches, from Andrews to Hawaii. Cultures notwithstanding, I thought, at least H.M.S. Richards Sr (& Jr.) taught athat we were a people that were 'peculiar-belonging exclusively to-the 'Chosen'

I was discouraged by the 'folk' group that sings between or at the first of the Services; they're loud-their instruments drown out the singer(s), and at often times, they are miserably off tune-especially the female lead: she's just loud. This last week her dress (the cut-long in back-short in front)is somewhat fashionable but it had a negative impact. These clothes are fashioned to create sensuality

I would like to say that everyone has a right to an opinion but it doesn't mean that the opinion is 'right'. In my life of 70 years I have found that opinions are like flatulence: most are nauseous-especially mine; but I was a U.S.Marine (back when Jesus was a Corporal)

Everyone always has room to 'grow'; room for improvement, and that especially includes meAdded November 30, 2016 by Melvin Champion - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
One of the best churches around here. Come and visit us.

We drive one hour every Sabbath to attend the third service at LLUC...It is always such a blessing! The music is inspiring and worshipful, the congregation and participants exhibit a great diversity, the pastor's message is always timely, thought-provoking and interesting. Even though it is a large church, I am a friendly person and I can always find someone to talk to and have gotten acquainted with my pew "neighbors."
If you want a quality church experience, you won't be disappointed...We don't like to miss a single Sabbath!Added August 10, 2016 by Sharon Harder
